Family and friends become the natural focus and recipients of our love and gratitude during the holidays. Outreach360 has a big impact on many families in the communities that we serve. We decided to take a deeper look into some of those families this month and learn more about them and their experience with the Outreach360 community.
Meet Damaris and Yubelki
Damaris and Yubelki are sisters and they began studying at our Learning Center in Jinotega, Nicaragua eight years ago. The support they have received from the Outreach360 community has changed their lives. See what impact education and opportunities have had on their family...
Why do you like coming to the Learning Center? I like to learn and I like to learn English.
What do you think of sharing this experience with your sister?
I think it is fun that we get to learn and receive support together.
What hopes do you have for the future? I would like to be an English teacher and teach a lot of children so that they can learn a new language. Outreach360 is teaching me new things, to speak English well and at school, I find that I can understand the material. It is easy to do schoolwork because of everything I have learned at the Learning Center.
Is there anything you would like to say to your teachers and donors? Thank you very much for teaching me what I know. This has served me a lot. Thank you for supporting both of us to learn English.
Why do you like coming to the Learning Center? I can speak and learn English and become someone in life after I study my career. I have learned a lot through many methods, including the computer lab.
What do you think of sharing this experience with your sister? Well, for me, learning together and being supported together will allow each of us to have a better future and then be able to help more people.
What hopes do you have for the future? I would like to study law and become an English teacher and help others. Outreach360 is helping me reach my goals by giving me the keys.
Is there anything you would like to say to your teachers and donors? Thank you for donating so that we students in the Learning Center can make our dreams a reality and thank you for allowing the Learning Center to move forward and to have more students who can learn English and receive support for their futures.
Damaris and Yubelki's Mother What would it look like if there were no Outreach360? They would be struggling with their regular classes. Outreach360 has been a big support. I feel very proud that they are both in the Learning Center. They have changed completely. Thanks to God that they are in the Learning Center.
Why is Outreach360 important to you, your family, your community? Because Outreach360 helps all of the children.
What difference have you seen in your children as a result of their enrollment in Outreach360? They have really changed a lot. They study. Before, my oldest was very timid and quiet.
What hopes do you have for your children? That they continue in the Learning Center and that they reach their goals.
