Hopeful Hermanas in Nicaragua

During the holiday season, we naturally turn to our family and friends with love and gratitude. This month, we are highlighting some of the sibling pairs in our Learning Centers to learn more about what their shared experience means to them.

Meet Madeling and Brandy

Madeling (15) and Brandy (16) have been students at our Learning Center in Nicaragua for eight years now. Being both close in age and friendship, Madeling and Brandy are a dynamic duo in the classroom. It was really special to be able to sit down with each sister and hear their perspective on being Outreach360 students together.

Madeling

Why do you like coming to the Learning Center?

I like coming to the Learning Center because I know that I will have better opportunities, that I will be able to help my parents, learn better and, in the future, be able to be an example to many students for not giving up and fighting to achieve what I want to have.

What do you think of sharing this experience with your sister?

It's an honor to share this great experience with my sister. I like that we can share our achievements together in the same Learning Center.

What hopes do you have for the future?

I would like and I think about becoming a great professional so that I can live in a better environment and help my parents. One of the great benefits of being in the Learning Center is that I am learning English and having great opportunities that are helping me prepare for my future and not give up.

Is there anything you would like to say to your teachers and donors?

Thank you very much for everything you have invested in all of us at the Learning Center. Thank you for dedicating your time to teach us and thank you for trusting us. I know that one day you will be proud to have taught us and thank you for giving us the resources we need to learn.

Brandy

Why do you like coming to the Learning Center?

I like to come to the Learning Center because I have learned how to have a lot of friends and now I know English and I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know people from other countries. This is an opportunity that isn't available anywhere else and it allows us to learn and it is free and we need to take advantage of that.

What do you think of sharing this experience with your sister?

Sharing this experience with my sister is beautiful because Outreach360 is helping both of us.

What hopes do you have for the future?

I will go far because English is widely used. I can meet any goal. Since I was small, I knew that Outreach360 was going to help me and I have had a lot of experiences. I have seen new places and Outreach360 has helped me imagine a better future.

Is there anything you would like to say to your teachers and donors?

Many thanks for everything that you have all done and for the unforgettable moments that I have shared with you. Please continue to support so that we can continue studying here.
