Extended Teaching Internship
Tuesday through Friday, from January 21st to April 23rd, 2021
Outreach360's Extended Teaching Internship is ideal for Education and ESL/TESOL majors or Gap Year and Gap Semester students who are looking for service opportunities this Spring with a larger time commitment and an international focus. For 2 hours each day, Tuesdays through Fridays, you will be teaching beginner to advanced level English Language Learners in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Through a structured English curriculum and professional teacher training, you will have all the tools you need to lead engaging and effective English lessons.
This internship provides a total of 96 sustainable service hours across twelve weeks. You also have the option to include independent study time dedicated to learning Nicaraguan and Dominican culture, Spanish, and/or additional teacher training to meet service hour objectives or requirements.
The highlight of my remote intern experience was watching my students grow. I saw their confidence expand in ways that honor their voice and show they are leaders in their communities and classrooms. Become an Outreach360 remote intern! You are allowing students to push their own levels of creativity, leadership, and motivation in the classroom. You will feel happiness unlike any other, knowing that your students learned new vocabulary every day and saw their own potential. You make a huge difference in their lives, even without realizing it. Thank you to everyone! I will never forget this opportunity. I have learned so much.
- Amanda Dettmann
You will make a real difference. English is a highly sought-after skill for our students and their communities, and opportunities to learn from native and near-native English speakers are few and far between, not to mention costly. We can guarantee that dedicating your time to teach English to Outreach360 students will make a real difference.
You will grow as a teacher. You will receive professional teacher training throughout your internship, giving you the knowledge and skills you need to connect with your students and lead effective and engaging classrooms. At the end of your internship, you will have grown not only as an educator but also as a mentor.

Our Commitment to Education Equality
Where our students live.
Outreach360 is committed to providing powerful opportunities to students in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic at no cost to them or their families. This is made possible by our interns who donate their time and commit to raising and donating the funds required to sponsor these programs.
As part of the registration process, we ask all of our interns to raise or donate a minimum program donation of $1,250 USD prior to participating in the 12-week internship. A $100 donation is required upon registering as a good faith deposit and the remaining program donation must be raised or donated.
Your minimum program donation not only goes hand-in-hand with your service, but it also ensures the following benefits as a part of your experience:
A professionally trained leadership team
Training and support
Confirmation of service hours
