Nicaragua is the safest country in Central America, but also the poorest. We are currently working in the mountain town of Jinotega. Jinotega is also called the "City of Mists" for the fog and cloud formations usually present in the city. Jinotega is a kilometer above sea level, has a very moderate climate, and is in the center of the Nicaragua coffee growing region.
We are currently providing English classes (and English camps during school breaks - summer break here is between December and February) and Community Health classes in the local primary schools in Jinotega as well as providing Spanish Literacy and English classes in our Neighborhood Center, a rental house located in the German Pomares neighborhood.

Volunteers in Nicaragua are currently staying in a large rented house known as our "Volunteer House". Bunk bed style sleeping allows us to accommodate up to 30 volunteers. We have an established relationship with several comfortable and clean hotels in town which we book when we have teams larger than 30 volunteers.
